Pondering by Eli

When I was a little kid my mom used to take us for road trips at very odd hours, she would wake us up in the middle of the night, get us dressed pack our pillows and head out around four in the morning, of course we complained even the night before when she got us to bed at five in the afternoon, so that we could have a full night sleep, but I still remember that she always explained that she wanted to be in certain place to see the sunrise, she would wake up us again right before sunrise and she would drive until she felt the spot and colors were right to make the stop worthwhile, she got us out of the car in a weird spot and ask us, children “how many colors are you seeing here?” Those memories and color lessons have impacted my passion for sunrises and sunsets, cloud watching and of course my artwork, it was in those moments when I was learning how to differentiate different hues and shades of colors.
