Vizcaya, the “high elevation,” where James Deering, a cosmopolitan bachelor, built his italian villa.  Many celebrities, politicians, inventors, film stars and artists like John Singer Sargent all mingled during the winter time in Miami.  Many years later, Vizcaya, became the venue for the White Party, a major event that for years have been raising funds for HIV/AIDS research.
